A Macroscopic Traffic Model Based on the Safe Velocity at Transitions

چکیده

The increasing volume of vehicles on the road has had a significant impact traffic flow. Congestion in urban areas is now major concern. To mitigate congestion, an accurate model required which based realistic dynamics. A new proposed conservation law considers dynamics at transitions. Traffic alignment to forward conditions affected by time and distance between vehicles. Thus, well-known Lighthill, Whitham, Richards (LWR) modified account for behavior during alignment. inhomogeneous flow transitions can be used characterize evolution. performance compared with LWR using Greenshields Underwood target velocity distributions. These models are evaluated Godunov technique numerical stability guaranteed considering Courant, Friedrich, Lewy (CFL) condition. results obtained show that characterizes more realistically, thus provide better insight into use controlling congestion pollution levels, improving public safety. mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model

over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

Multianticipative Nonlocal Macroscopic Traffic Model

Multianticipative driving behavior, where a vehicle reacts to many vehicles in front, has been extensively studied and modeled using a car-following (i.e., microscopic) approach. A lot of effort has been undertaken to model such multianticipative driving behavior using a macroscopic approach, which is useful for real-time prediction and control applications due to its fast computational demand....

A Multiphase Model for Macroscopic Traffic Flow

The main differences between the deterministic macroscopic models stand in pressure expressions and representation of various phases observed experimentally. Starting from two assumptions, we build a multiphase model that represents macroscopic traffic flow on a single road. The conditions for transition between phases become clear. In addition, a simulation of some scenario are proposed to sup...

a study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market

the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.

the effect of traffic density on the accident externality from driving the case study of tehran
